The Harvey Danger Database is—or at least it aspires to be—the definitive codex of information about the late, great Seattle band Harvey Danger (1992–2009).
Drawing from scattered sources, defunct websites, and forgotten ephemera (both digital & analogue), the HDDB is here to collect, preserve, and present the passion, brilliance, and creativity behind one of the most underrated alt-rock groups of all time.
RIP Aaron. HD forever. ♥

While I'm not currently accepting additions or corrections until I exhaust my personal backlog of HD miscellany, eventually I will welcome relevant input. Watch this space for details.
“Legal” disclaimer
All substantive content in the HDDB is owned by Harvey Danger, and/or one or more of its members, and/or one or more of its record labels; past, present and/or future. Which is to say: none of it belongs to the HDDB, which is an entirely non-commercial enterprise.
Colophon + Endnotes
- Fonts used: Peridot (designed by Kostas Bartsokas and Pria Ravichandran) and Hackney (designed by Ellen Luff).
- This is a static website built with Middleman to be simple and fast. It sets no cookies, runs no JavaScript, and has no privacy policy, because it collects no data about you.
- Non-HD projects by individual band members, while beloved, are regrettably out of scope for this project. I had to draw the line somewhere.
For legal reasons, the HDDB hosts no copyrighted music files. Fortunately, as of 2025, almost everything HD ever released is available on all major digital music outlets, and even the rarest of rarities are easy to find (compared to just five years ago, nevermind 15 or 20) thanks to diligent and generous communities of HD fans pooling their collections. This site’s primary focus is consolidating factual details, obscure trivia, and other HD marginalia best presented in a text-based format. I’m not trying to get myself or anyone else busted for hosting copyrighted music. Ask around.
- This endeavour is the spiritual successor to, and supersedes, the annotated King James Version I proudly published 20 years ago. That page, now obsolete, remains extant for archival (and sentimental) purposes only.
